Flo Meredith (she/her) is a costume designer, creator, and educator based who primarily works with dance and movement. Flo enjoys the collaborative process of creating costume for devised pieces, and the opportunities which working with the moving body presents.

Flo trained in Costume for Performance at the London College of Fashion, and as a Costume Designer for Dance at Trinity Laban. Flo’s experiences working as a Maker at Amanda Barrow Costume Studio, and as a Wardrobe Assistant for the English National Ballet feed into her work as a Designer.

Flo was the Senior Costume Technician at Trinity Laban for several years, designing, cutting and making costumes for in-house productions, before moving to a part time role as Specialist Costume Technician at Central Saint Martins in 2022, where she taught creative costume realisation skills to performance design students. Flo also worked as an Associate Lecturer at Central Saint Martins, delivering on units which centred around costume-led design and movement, as well as tutoring first year BA students.

Flo holds a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice.

Flo is part of the Make your Own Masters collective 2025/2026, through which she is developing her creative practice in garment design and development for movement. Flo is currently working on briefs set by Studio Exception, Pangaia, and Interwoven. Through these briefs she is exploring inclusive design practices, human centred research methodologies, eco-futuristic philosophies, and technical materials.

Flo works from her studio in Hove Textiles Space, in Brighton and Hove
